With 5,000 square feet of spa and salon space and 2,000 nail color options, Galaxy Nail Bar offers options that are out of this world. The business opened in April in a newly built strip center adjacent to AMC Classic Springfield 12 Theatre off Wabash Avenue.
Huy Vuong, who also developed the unique Sky Lounge bar concept nearby, has created a spacious, elegant, full-service salon, greeting customers with luxurious surroundings and complimentary gourmet refreshments and beverages.
The most popular services from Galaxy's generous menu of unique offerings include the Milky Way, Diamond Head, Pearl, Golden 24K and Lime Margarita VIP spa pedicures, and the Champaign Rose treatment, a favorite for big celebrations. Other services include waxing, eyelash extensions, massage, shampoo and styling, in addition to pedicures with a foot massage, which is the most-requested service by male customers.
According to Vuong, Galaxy is so successful because of its spacious decor, skilled staff, rigorous hygiene and private VIP room, with separate space to host parties, weddings and showers. Telephone or online reservations are recommended, but there is usually no waiting due to the large Galaxy staff of 19, with 21 manicure stations and 28 pedicure chairs available.
