This father and daughter singing and music-making team covers more ground in gigs played, recordings made and joy displayed than about any other combo in town. Al has been a stalwart in the area country scene for decades, and Kathy has done her share of fronting bands and doing shows since she was a preteen. Both spent time in Nashville hanging out with the big boys, becoming especially good friends with legendary country singer Faron Young. Recently Al and Kathy recorded some hot tracks in Nashville with some of “those guys” playing on the record, finished up the album with area recordings, and expect to have the completed CD available soon for all to enjoy. Al and Kathy play around the area frequently, often at small town wineries and other venues, featuring Al on electric guitar, harmonica and vocals with Kathy singing her heart out in spectacular fashion like only she can do. Al also plays a weekly Wednesday gig at Arlington’s (7-10pm) hosting guest singers on occasion. It’s the real, right stuff here, folks.
