Named after a country blacktop heading south out of town that could tell some tales if it could, this band is full of authentic local country musicians that could (and do) tell some tales of their own, but prefer to let their music do the talking. Melanie Finley (vocals, guitar, tambourine) fronts the modern country female songs while longtime local musicians Mike Webb (guitar, fiddle, steel guitar, banjo, vocals), Harry Lounsberry (keyboards, vocals), Chris Harris (bass, vocals), Allan Harris (guitar, vocals) and Chris Warren (drums) cover the rest, creating a powerhouse combo that knows how to make a night a party and make a party happen. Affiliated with Skeff Distributing (the Budweiser family of beers) and Texas Roadhouse restaurants, New City Road is booked by Mikey’s Entertainment, so they stay quite busy with the cool, good gigs at the better bars and clubs near you. They make the rounds at all the fairs and festivals as well, keeping the country music sounds hopping wherever they go.
