The Prairie Art Alliance offers an exclusive and interesting peek inside five of its members’ studios and their gardens. Sites include a ceramics and firing studio, a glass studio, and painting and pastel studio. You can see the sites in any order you’d prefer and work will be available for purchase. The locations along this tour will also house painters and artisans demonstrating their talents. A reception caps the day at the H.D. Smith Gallery from 3-5 p.m. Enjoy refreshments, hors d’oeuvres, a bonsai demo by Roland Folse, a floral design demo by Ada Lynn Shrewsbury, a presentation on adapting floral/nature into jewelry with Poppy Vincent, and floral interpretations of PAA members’ artworks by Springfield Garden Club members. You might also be the lucky winner of a raffle drawing or garden-related items in a silent auction. Pick up tickets at PAA’s two locations, online at www.prairieart.org or by phone. A rain date is set for June 10.
