A Sept. 9 demonstration held outside Springfield Police Department headquarters was advertised to “demand accountability from the police” after a Sept. 5 crash that seriously injured two motorcycle riders, allegedly caused by a retired police officer driving while intoxicated, and a Sept. 4 police-involved shooting .
