After battling breast cancer for five years, my wife and one true love of 22 years lo
st her fight with this horrific disease. Lisa was kind, caring and giving, and she cared deeply about people. After working in social services for over 25 years, she changed careers to become a licensed esthetician and owner of Shanti Skincare Studio. She specialized in oncology services and addressing the many skin issues those receiving chemo and radiation treatments experience. Many people have told me that they started as clients and ended up being friends with Lisa. She was a wonderful listener and just wanted everyone to live their best life. Always happy and positive, she could light up a room with her smile, and her laugh was contagious She loved a good dirty gin martini, good food and time near the water. She was an amazing friend, sister, daughter, partner and wife. Her favorite role was being Mom to our wonderful daughter, Erin. Lisa knew before she died that she was going to be a grandma and Erin told us the baby was a girl. Sure enough, Charlotte Rose was born in July. I see Lisa in her eyes and smile. Lisa was a one-of-a-kind and is missed by many. May our memories bring us smiles!
Her wife, Jonna J Cooley, Ph.D.
