Attention Homes for Youth

The Attention Homes for Youth is a non-profit child welfare agency that has been serving at-risk youth in the community for the past 30 years. The agency operates an after-school/day treatment program that provides youth between the ages of 10-18 with a safe, supervised environment during times when there may be inadequate or no adult supervision in their homes. Youth receive individual and group counseling, tutoring, snacks and a hot meal each evening along with various recreational activities.
Attention Homes requests board games, movie passes, arts and crafts supplies, grocery store gift cards, cash donations, volunteer tutors, VCR/DVD players, and recreational equipment.

Pathway Services, founded in 1964, serves more 400 children and adults with developmental disabilities and other physical and mental challenges in a five-county region. Pathway offers residential services, with 16 homes in operation; children’s programs; supported employment and training services; respite care; and adult day programs. Pathway strives to provide a nurturing environment that helps our individuals learn, work, gain independence, and have dignity.
This year, Pathway requests these donations on behalf of its children’s program: audiovisual equipment, including a VCR, DVD player, CD player, portable tape players, a video-equipment cart, and a 20-inch television set; art supplies, including construction paper, Elmer’s Glue, and finger paints; computer software, such as living books and games for young people ages 3 through 21; and book bags.
For its day programs, Pathway requests three gallons of white outdoor paint, artificial flowers, a recliner chair, two or three slings for Hoyer lifts, a chin switch with which to operate a computer, and a tricycle.
For its residential programs, Pathway would appreciate the donation of DVD players for its group homes; music CDs and DVDs, area rugs, and runners for two homes; pots and pans for kitchens; paint and border materials; exercise equipment such as a stationary bike, treadmill, weights, and a basketball hoop; a karaoke machine; outdoor furniture; materials and labor for covered outdoor sitting areas; and living-room and bedroom furniture.
