The Seething Coast

Formed in 2006, The Seething Coast draws its peculiar name from a lyric in a song by indie-rock legends The Mountain Goats. With Jason Perry on guitar and vocals matched with Jay Vanselow doing the same, the quartet fills out with Aaron Stallone on drums and Matt Natale, formerly of the Timmys, on bass as a loaner from Go! Tsunami. Resident Genius (TSC’s precursor) scored a winner in 2005 producing a collaborative music and words effort with the late Howard Zinn titled You Can’t Blow Up a Social Relationship. On Feb. 26 our local heroes play a cool gig in Chicago at Reggie’s Rock Club with their heroes, another legendary group in pop-punk land, the Screeching Weasels and all parties are stoked to the nines. Currently the group is recording for a new album featuring the more aggressive and edgier guitar work of The Seething Coast called We Would Have Saved You If We Could.
