Rogers

This St. Louis-area-based duo sports a music pedigree of incredible caliber, from stints as members of the last touring configuration of the Byrds with original drummer Michael Clarke, on to stellar careers ranging from local legends to international stars. Terry Jones Rogers and Scott Nienhaus, working separately as established professional musicians, got together through the workings of Springfield’s friend, Michael “Supe” Granda of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, who introduced the fellow musicians after relocating to Nashville in the early 90s. Soon Rogers and Nienhaus paired up to play music in a variety of combos and continue to this day, finding good luck and plentiful work as a two-guitar, acoustic duo focusing on pristine harmony vocals and powerful instrumental performances. Along with the two-man band, they also perform with Supe in the Real Macaws and stay busy playing music wherever, from a recent tour of Brazil celebrating the Byrds band to the Aqua Fest this Friday on Lake Springfield. Now that’s living, brother.
