Note: I also happily purchased all seven singles released
by Ricked Wicky in 2015
; one of my favorite releases of the year was the
stand-alone single “Taman Shud” by The Drones; The Ex & Ken Vandermark didn’t put out an album this year but everything I heard from their tour was flat out astonishing.

Another note: JEFF The Brotherhood is not my favorite band – it is simply the only band I like that also put out two albums in 2015.

What this list says about me: (1) I am old. (2) I practice
brand loyalty. (3) I really slept on jazz this year.
