Known as the “Ambassador of the Blues” and also as a resident of Springfield, Mr. Armstrong gets all the credit for being an excellent and constantly touring guitar player with sharp songwriting skills, an all-around good guy of the blues. With a lifetime of recordings and performances behind him, James is set to release his latest album, Blues Been Good to Me, to an international and national audience on Oct. 20. But you can get a copy ahead of the rest of the world on Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Curve Inn. On the official release date, James and the band play in Ontario, Canada, then roll back this way for dates in Pekin and St. Louis before heading out to the East Coast in November. The career of this man is truly remarkable. As he continues to stride forth into the world of the blues, the accolades follow the fulfillment that comes with making good music happen. Thanks for all you do, James, and congratulations on the new record.
