Known for his easygoing blues music and hopped-up reggae beats, this young, singing guitarist brings on the music with a style and confidence that belies his age and experience. With Devin playing slide on his trusty acoustic guitar while fronting vocals, he’s joined by bandmates Casey Cantrall (guitar, vocals), Chuck Combs (bass), Justin Schmidt (drums) and Zach Eymann (harmonica), plus various other musicians who somehow end up jamming along. Devin released an EP called Welcome Home in 2013 and plays consistently in the area, including the 2017 Legacy of Giving (LoG) Festival and Capital City Celebration, plus plenty of the local bars. Always at the forefront is his signature sweet, sassy and swinging sound that gets people saying, “Where’s this dude from? He’s really good,” and other comments along those lines. Devin is just that way, singing and playing like he’s been at it a few centuries already with a few more to go. And who knows, maybe that’s the way it is.
