Powerlight Abe Lincoln Supercruise and Car Show Spectacular begins Friday, Aug 1 with a car parade from Ace Hardware on Wabash Ave. to Quaker Steak and Lube on MacArthur. Afterwards, The Dark Knight and Back to the Future will be showing at the Route 66 Twin Drive In, in addition to two regular feature films. Saturday is the car show with an Air Evac helicopter flyover and landing, Ted Danson’s official TV car from “Cheers,” more than 15 replica Back to the Future DeLoreans, LRS Nitro car, Sangamon County Sheriff’s Department MRAP, Brandt consolidated Justin Allgaier show car, hot air balloon demo, official movie horse from the film Lincoln, Secretary of State bomb squad demo, special edition Harleys, class of police cars, 20 replica movie and TV cars and more.
