whatsup poem #11

my college major classics
(latin greek ancient history)
has stood me in good stead
right now viewing our land
I see plenty of parallels such
as rome going from senators
to dictators to deranged
emperors appointing horses
to office finally disintegration
when visigoths or was it huns
anyway hordes descend
on an empire in disarray
