Tractors, small engines and steam engines

Take in three days of family fun during the Prairie Land Heritage Museum Fall Festival and Steam Show. This seasonal festival features bandstand performances, daily demonstrations and displays, as well as the opportunity to tour attractions such as a general store, one-room schoolhouse, sawmill, blacksmith shop, museums and Liberty Church. Additionally, there are many opportunities for children to join in the fun with activities such as wobble wagon and train rides, a corn maze, a pedal tractor pull, a petting zoo, giant fish tank, children’s museum, story time and crafts hosted by the Jacksonville Public Library, and more. Food, such as ham and beans cooked by steam engines, as well as cornbread, pie and drinks, will be available on site daily from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and additional food items will be available for purchase from vendors. Admission to the Fall Festival and Steam Show covers all three days for $8 per person, and the festival is free to children under the age of 12.
