Theatre Centre presents Sister Act JR.

Here’s a quick shout out about the upcoming production for Springfield Theatre Centre. Don't be fooled by the “JR.” in the title. This show, featuring original music by Alan Menken and a talented young cast directed by some of Springfield’s best, promises to get audiences on their feet. Based on the hit 1992 film and Tony-nominated Broadway musical, Sister Act JR. is a feel-good musical comedy that tells the story of disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, who witnesses a murder and is put in protective custody as a nun in a convent. In her own unique way, Deloris revitalizes the church and community until she’s eventually on the run again, having to rely on her new, unlikely, friends to help her survive.

Co-directed by Jasmine French and Reggie Guyton, Sister Act, JR. is presented by the Springfield Theatre Centre and will run Nov 10-12, 17-19 7:30 and 2:00 pm on Sundays. Visit the same HCFTA information above for tickets.
