Enjoy a full week of summer camp condensed into one fun evening during Camp Ondessonk’s Saturday Spectacular on Saturday, April 9, from 3:30 to 9 p.m., at St. Agnes School in Springfield. Some of Camp Ondessonk’s very own staff will supervise children ages 6-14 during the drop-off event which features games, camp food, tie-dye, other “camping” activities and more. Camp Ondessonk is a 983-acre, not-for-profit youth summer camp located adjacent to the Shawnee National Forest near Ozark. In operation since 1959, Ondessonk is widely considered one of the most scenic summer camps in the United States, offering a traditional approach to summer camp by immersing participants in a fun, adventurous and supportive community. Admission is $30, and includes food, games and prizes. Bring a canned good to receive $1 off admission. Registration is requested, though walk-ins will be accepted.
