During the noon hour at the Springfield Art Association’s Michael Victor II Art Library learn more about the man who painted Demon Sitting, pictured above. Rosina Neginsky, UIS associate professor of interdisciplinary studies, lectures on Michael Vrubel, a Russian painter of the 20th century. Vrubel was the first to develop a representation of the subconscious world in art. Light refreshments will be served and participants are welcome to bring their lunch. The Art Library provides support services for SAA classes, faculty and staff, loans out items to the public and lends items to library patrons.
