On the first Friday of every month, local artist and co-owner/art director of the Black Sheep Café Clare Frachey transforms Café Brio into a half-restaurant, half-art exhibition for emerging local artists. Stop in for a meal, drink or dessert and browse and shop art created by new artists in our community. March’s featured creative artists are Ted Keylon, Rajean Gallagher and Collette Wilcox. The musical guest is Cozad and Cantrell, a new, acoustic iteration of the band formerly known as Deep Lunar Blue. The First Friday Art show is open to any and all artists in the Springfield and central Illinois area. It is an opportunity for emerging and unknown artists to show their work in a gallery setting, network with other artists and share the fruits of their labor.
