Everything’s coming up balloons. Lincoln Art and Balloon Festival takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Logan County Airport and downtown. A weekend of fun kicks off with a lights and siren parade at 3:30 p.m., moving from the square to the airport. At the airport, you can see the balloons close up, talk to the pilots, get a tethered ride or watch the beautiful balloon glows. Tethered rides are available starting at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Watch all the hot air balloons launch Friday and Saturday night at 6 p.m. and Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m. There’s also live music, a carnival, rock climbing and more. The art part of the festival is held downtown and also has entertainment, a barbecue cook-off, car show, kid’s area and more. More info can be found at www.lincolnillinois.com
