londonpoem #2
with my sister or my cousin or myself
I have wandered through a number of
famous galleries louvre uffizzi hermitage
vatican viewed medieval and renaissance
paintings galore noted the favorite pinup
of the times the blue robed gentle mother
and her naked chubby child sometimes
saint john is alongside being babysat
I think I wrote about it once washday in
galilee the missing vital item but lo! I
just spotted it in london it’s in the queen’s
canaletto gallery a painting by an italian
named ricci the magi are adoring the infant
and at last! the mama has him in a diaper!
