The Harris siblings invite the public to help their band, known as the longest-running sibling band in America, celebrate 60 years of performing together as a family. The Harrises, who began performing as The Little Big Shots, are Allan, lead guitar and vocals; Gwen, lead guitar, mandolin, congas and vocals; Max, drums and vocals; Shawn, lead guitar and vocals; Chris, bass and vocals; and John, keyboard and vocals. After The Little Big Shots, the band became The Harris Family Band and then Bustin’ Loose. Their first performance was on July 4, 1966. As part of Sunday’s celebration, the band will give away a big screen TV, two electric guitars, dinners at different places and other items. “We want to thank everybody throughout the 60 years who has ever came and supported us,” the band says on its Facebook page. Musician Kevin Hawkins, known as “Hipbone Sam,” will serve as the master of ceremonies. Admission is free.
