Springfield Theatre Centre presents Hair opening Friday, Jan. 10 at the Hoogland Center for the Arts and running two weekends. Hair is set in New York City during the Vietnam War. Claude, his good friend Berger, their roommate Sheila and their friends struggle to balance their young lives, loves and the sexual revolution with their rebellion against the war and their conservative parents and society. “When audiences see Hair, they will be transported to a time of peace, love and war,” said Jen Wallner, director of Hair. This production has mature content and language and some nudity. Located in the Hoolgand, Springfield Theatre Centre is a nonprofit community theater organization that was established in 1947.
