Those living on the east side of Springfield will be privy to fresh produce that will be available each Monday through Sept. 29 in the parking lot of the Sangamon County Department of Public Heath, 2833 South Grand Ave. East. The East Side Farmers Market opens at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 7. It will run until 12:30 p.m. on these days. WIC coupons, Link, debit and credit cards will be accepted. Sponsored by St. John’s Hospital, Sangamon County Department of Public Health and Downtown Springfield, Inc., in addition, cooking classes will be provided on Mondays in July and August.
