The Old Capitol Farmers Market wraps up the 2014 season with a special Halloween-themed bash this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In addition to hosting the local farmers, artisans and other vendors who sell their products and host demonstrations each week, this Saturday’s market will also feature special Halloween and fall-themed activities for the whole family. A children’s costume contest with prizes for each age group begins at 11 a.m. and a dog costume contest with pet-related prize packages starts at noon. Other highlights include a guest appearance by Raphael the ninja turtle, a festively decorated photo booth for selfies, a 50/50 raffle featuring a giant pumpkin, a special kid-friendly cooking demonstration by Chef Michael Higgins and more.
