Welcome to Poetry, Etc.

Welcome poetry lovers and curious souls (ha, ha … didn’t you know you can’t write “souls” in poetry, or “soul” they say)! Welcome to my new poetry blog at Illinois Times. I’ll be writing about all things poetry including what I find poetic in life. If it weren’t so hokey I would have named this blog The Poetry in Everything. For me, much in life is six degrees or less away from verse.Watch out, I tend to think in positives. Hope you’re up for that math.

Something you really might enjoy about this blog –- each week I’ll feature a poem that I found or one that you, Joe or Jane Public has emailed me. I’ll also feature weekly something in central Illinois or the world that I think deserves mentioning because it’s so awesome or fantastic. It’s poetry to me if it helps others, makes the world a better place, inspires or instructs or like good poetry, makes sense and touches me deeply.
