The courtyard of the Dana-Thomas House will once again be alive with jazz, food and drinks for the annual evening garden party. Music by Sharpen Up with Damien Kaplan (piano and vocals), Tim Niemeyer (guitar) and Brandt Sitze (percussion) will entertain guests. This is the second event of three hosted by the Dana-Thomas House Foundation.  The first, a bourbon-tasting party, raised money for the Foundation properties.  Jazz in Bloom proceeds will help with upkeep of the Dana-Thomas House.  Watch for information about a third event, Susan Lawrence Dana’s birthday on Oct. 12, which will raise money for area schools’ field trips to the site.  The cost is $60 and reservations are required. dana-thomas.org.
