Memorial Medical Center’s Festival of Trees is celebrating its 26th season as a central Illinois holiday highlight. The goal of the festival is twofold: to bring holiday cheer to all ages and to raise money for community programs and outreach. Since 1989, Memorial’s Festival of Trees has raised more than $3.9 million dollars for community improvement projects and programs. The main attraction is a spectacular display of trees, wreaths and swags decorated by area designers and businesses in a variety of styles ranging from contemporary to traditional to whimsical. There’s also a shopping boutique, the Candy Cane Express Train, a gingerbread village, the “little elves” crafting workshop, holiday kitchen, snapshots and visits with Santa, and more. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for ages 3-12 and free to ages two and under. For more information about Memorial’s Festival of Trees, visit http://MemorialsFestivalOfTrees.com.
