Lyle Bennett Lenkart, 56, of Springfield, died at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at St. John’s Hospital. Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home, Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield. A memorial ceremony will follow at 3 p.m. with the Very Rev. Christopher House officiating. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed, requiring face coverings and limiting attendance to 50 guests at one time. Burial will be held at a later date at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
