Long overdue gay rights legislation will likely energize the discussion Wednesday night, but clearly there is much more to learn about the problems of gay life in Illinois. “Leave no family behind,” is “a community discussion of issues involved in marriage equality, same-sex marriage, and the everyday obstacles faced by gay male and lesbian families.” Sponsored by the ACLU and other groups, the program features a panel of local residents and experts. It’s at Brookens Auditorium UIS, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19.

Staples issued a statement saying it “does not let political agendas drive our media-buying decision,” according to the Baltimore Sun.
