MERCY Communities

MERCY Communities is a transitional-living program for women with young children. It is the mission of MERCY Communities (Mentors, Empowerment and Resources for Change in Young Families) to provide housing and supportive services to foster the independence of homeless and at-risk families. The overall vision is to empower families to live in dignity and healthy independence.

MERCY House requests donations of crib sheets and comforters, newborn clothes, twin-size comforters, toddler beds, diapers (sizes newborn and up, pull-ups), children’s craft supplies, kitchen- and bath-towel sets, alarm clocks, silverware, pots and pans, bakeware, Crock-Pots, wall hangings and pictures, posters for children’s rooms, VCRs, family videos in VHS format, gift certificates for family activities (Chuck E. Cheese’s, Jungle of Fun, etc.), gift certificates for moms (haircuts, bath-and-body products, etc.), laundry detergent, baby-laundry detergent, baby shampoo, toilet paper, shampoo and conditioner, hairspray, and cleaning supplies.
