The Mini O’Beirne Crisis Nursery works to prevent child abuse and neglect by providing emergency care for babies and children through age 6. The nursery is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All services provided by the nursery are free.
The nursery is recruiting volunteers to staff its 16th annual Children’s Holiday Store, open Nov. 27 through Dec. 23 in the Town and Country Shopping Center (next to Burlington Coat Factory). Hours for the holiday store are 4-8 p.m. Mon.-Fri.; 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat.; and noon-5 p.m. Sun. Volunteers assist children with their shopping. The nursery is also asking for donated merchandise and handmade gifts to be sold at the store.
