A 50501 protest took place in front of the Capitol on Saturday, May 3. The grassroots movement has been organizing gatherings in all 50 states to protest the actions of the Trump administration.

An initial protest in Springfield was held Feb. 5, one of dozens of protests that took place across the nation that day. A second Springfield protest took place Feb. 17 with the theme “No Kings on President’s Day.” The most recent protest was promoted as “Impeach, Convict, Remove.”

The participants included people who identified themselves as Democrats, independents and former Republicans who are all upset with recent federal actions.

  1. We support Trump. Those are fake protest. Not organic. Bought and paid for by leftist. Besides their crowd is very small. Just shows the Americans are happy with what Trump is doing. I’ll bet 90% of the protesters are fired government employees. You know those people that do nothing, make absurd pay and think they are above the rest of us. Thank you Trump.

  2. Not fake, very real.. You will see next election, but then will just say it was rigged. Such sad little people. Notice how many dislikes the trump supporting comments have gotten so far. Thats the people who will vote against this overreach.
