 Parking lot screening. Yes, I know it’s on your mind. That’s why, in my travels around this great commonwealth, keep the Krohe eye peeled for edifying examples of the art that might act as models for those who regulate them.
Here are two recent examples from suburban Chicago. This is the view of a large corner lot parking lot, one side of which fronts a busy commercial street, while the other, this one, fronts a quiet residential street. It is the perfect screen, meaning one that does not merely obscure the cars but obliterates them from view.
Here’s a view from the same town, showing the lot of a branch bank. It is a less perfect example, but still it admirably spares the eye of passersby.
Now isn’t that nicer?
