MORE OUT THERE
There are way more Asian massage parlors in the area, just look on Red Massage and RubMap’s websites (“FBI targets area Asian massage parlors,” March 7).
If I were to run a cash-only business, I would be taken down by the IRS and local authorities. Men who patronize these places don’t realize or don’t care that they are providing money to keep women enslaved.

CURRICULUM DIDN’T HELP
I agree, the reading curriculum isn’t the only problem, but it added to it. If it wasn’t, then Lucy Calkins’ newest revision wouldn’t look 180 degrees different than the original and include a lot of the things the “When kids can’t read” article pointed to (“My curriculum not the reason kids can’t read,” March 21).

Of course not, no one is responsible at public schools, that’s the whole idea. Lucy Calkins cashed the check, so what if Springfield kids can’t read?
