The election prayer, “May the best person win,” often doesn’t work. Still, ballots are better than bullets for choosing officeholders, and if everybody participates by voting maybe we can keep nonviolent democracy going a while longer. Ours is not the same as the immigrant experience, but we who are disappointed in election results can feel like strangers in a foreign land. When political life gets tough, it’s tempting to want to go back “home,” whatever that may mean. But this is our home. We’re not going back. We don’t have to move to live in a better country. Now more than ever we must find a new way forward. And continue to believe in the promise of America.– Fletcher Farrar, editor

Very inspirational, Fletcher. But I disagree. You don’t need to find a new way forward.
Just keep insulting your political opponents in the worst possible ways and then weep when they don’t vote for you. Maybe if the woke brigade calls me racist and sexist another 10,000 times I’ll finally submit and vote for your awful candidates.
Trump has made huge inroads with the latino community, so make sure to keep calling them latinx, because they really enjoy that moniker. You should also let them know that they have internalized white supremacy because that’s a great way to make them happy.
Trump has also more than doubled his support in the black community. Make sure to let the black voters know that if they are wrong if they are concerned about a tidal wave of illegal immigrants entering their communities.
Tell them that no person is illegal and that it doesn’t matter if the illegal immigrants who just showed up are getting thousands of dollars in assistance, leaving the citizens who were already there feeling short-changed.
Maybe if there is a local influential black activist who tells you how her community is feeling about the issue of immigration, you should immediately take away her power so she understands that she needs to toe the line instead of telling the truth.
Just keep plodding forward and never, ever look back! That’s the democrat way!
