Danielle Kurtzleben at Vox alerted me to this: Pollsters for Ipsos-MORI recently asked 1,001 Americans, “Out of every 100 people of working age, how many do you think are unemployed and looking for work?”Â
Their average response was 32, or 32 percent. The actual unemplouyment rate in the U.S. in August, when the poll was conducted, was 6.1-percent. Â And most recent jobs report showed the unemployment rate was 5.8 percent — its lowest level in six years.
One wonders — is there is any public question that doesn’t involve the Kardashians about which Americans are well-informed?Â
