These Chicago guys got a good start in the business by winning WGN’s Breakthrough Band competition in 2014 with their first single, “Grind Your Teeth.” After spending 2015 promoting and playing the latest release, Shiny Things, the guys headed back into the studio last February to start on another collection of fiery and fun music. Calling their style of music “alternative rock rhythm and blues,” the quartet of Willard J. Wilcox (vocals, guitar), Brett Lee (guitar), Jared Newcomb (vocals, drums) and Jason (Bassy) Gerren (bass) are making a run at the good times. After the Bar None gig they roll on into the Lake of the Ozarks area for a couple of shows, then rock on back to Chicago to prepare for a House of Blues headliner concert on July 22. Do yourself a favor and take a listen on iTunes to the refreshing throwback sounds of The Dead Hands, then bring yourself and a party to Bar None on Friday to check ‘em out live. You only live once.
