Self-described as “Great Rock and Roll!!!,” the Backliners certainly live up to their billing, getting better and better as proven by the growing list of 2012 bookings already in the works. Upcoming in the next year see our heroes at several special Quaker Steak and Lube events, plus at all the regular hot spots, such as Atomic Tunes Sports Bar in Girard, Prairie Rush Saloon in Tallula, Frankie’s 49er, Boone’s Saloon and Crows Mill Pub in the next few months. Founded in 2008, the Backliners attribute success to the wide selection of tunes brought to the group by the wide age variance in band members. As they are fond of saying, “We don’t care when the song came out, if it’s a great song, we’ll play it!!” With the recent addition of former Level Sixx member Stacey Hollerauer on lead vocals, added to Brandon Backs (drums, percussion, guitar), Greg Harvey (vocals, guitar, bass, drums), Brent Sperry (lead guitar) and Steve Harvey (vocals, guitar, bass), the band continues expanding into the raucous rock and roll realm.
