This Los Angeles-based blues/roots/rock band winds and climbs through the greasy and grand world of gut-bucket blues like nobody’s business. Since they first made a splash in 2007 with a credible fourth-place finish at the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis, the quartet has continued to tour incessantly, making fans and friends all over the country. In 2011 they recorded Boogie Disease with Kid Ramos for $800, and the raw and raucous record tore up the charts and landed the band awards and attention, plus a record deal on Rip Cat Records. Bandmates Johnny Main (guitar, vocals), Tex Nakamura (harmonica), JR Lozano (drums) and Blake Watson (bass) followed that up with Americana, showcasing their mastery of a West Coast/Chicago blues blend hell-bent on being heaven sent. Now they’re on the road coming to your town (which happens to be our town this week), with two shows in three days for a swinging, rocking and rolling good time.
