The music tandem team of Mark Packenham (bass, backing vocals) and Zac Broaddus (lead guitar, backing vocals) began working together in 2000, spanning a myriad of bands in their journey through the Springfield rock music scene. Pat Pierceall (drums, backing vocals) joined the guys in 2006 in an original group called Digdowndeep, and with a different drummer, but the same singer, Packenham and Broaddus formed the band Facelift. These two groups combined, released six original CDs and played all over Springfield, as well as Peoria, Bloomington and St. Louis. Dizolver came into being as Digdowndeep “dissolved” and the current lineup emerged in 2010 when Tony Harris (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) joined the band. The group covers a variety of rock classics, including songs by Kiss, Loverboy, Megadeth, Tom Petty, Metallica and Wild Cherry, with some Stevie Wonder tossed in for some funky fun. The rocking quartet “earned a pretty big fan base and played many, many shows in the last almost three years” with the upcoming event this Saturday marking the final performance for this configuration.
