Deep Lunar Blue

With 36 shows in the can, including many at the main, local hot spot nightclubs, and an 11-song CD ready to shine, Deep Lunar Blue is rising like a full moon upon the lonesome prairie. Fronted by Randall Hall and Shane Quigley, a pair of songwriting, singing, guitar-slinging guys and with drummer JJ Moffat and bassist Ryan Pulver holding down the bottom end, the quartet works the night with covers from the rock/Americana/jamband world and a good batch of original tunes. Marc Broomby engineered the new record, called Watch it Burn, at MoonPanda Studios with all songs composed by Hall and Quigley. Future band plans include continuing shows on a local level while pursuing more festivals and out of town gigs through the summer and fall. Opening act Afternoon Moon from Ottawa, Ill., takes the stage in between early and late sets by DLB during the release party performance.
