Creole Stomp

You won’t find a better band replicating the sounds of Cajun and Zydeco through original songs and traditional tunes, but these dashing and daring musicians of high caliber cheerfully toss in a taste of contemporary blues and swamp rock to keep the party rolling. Led by acclaimed Creole-related, French-speaking-and-singing fiddler and accordionist Dennis Stroughmatt and joined by a talented crew consisting of Robert Russell (vocals, acoustic and electric guitars), Greg Bigler (bass, vocals) and Jimmy Wills (drums, vocals) with an occasional appearance by the legendary CW Riley on scrub board and vocals, these cats are informally known on the circuit as “the Grateful Dead of Creole Music” for their exciting jams and lengthy improvisations coupled with dance-all-night rhythms. Who could be more fitting to entertain at the Low Country Shrimp Boil hosted by Robert’s Seafood during the 13th annual music festival? The Boil and Suburban Mystics go from 1 to 3 with Creole Stomp at it from 4 to 6. Hill Prairie wine and Hand of Fate beer flows all day long.
