Formed in Knoxville, Tenn., some ten years ago, 10 Years is a hard-working, hard-rocking, hard-playing band out to conquer the world on their own terms. Hitting the road to promote Birth and Burial, the group’s seventh full-length record (available on the band’s own imprint Palehorse), bandmates Jesse Hasek (lead vocals), Brian Vodinh (drums/guitar), Ryan “Tater” Johnson (guitar/screams) Ryan Collier (bass), Chad Huff (guitar) and Kyle Mayer (drummer/keyboards) express the struggle and the fight along with the victory and success of being a band in the 21st century. Called the “most diverse, dark and unabashedly heavy offering from the post-grunge songsmiths,” the album is considered by the band as a “call to arms, encouraging listeners to overcome whatever obstacles appear in life.” Palehorse, distributed through Megaforce Records, allows the band to stay creatively true to the muse while being present in the industry marketplace. They’ve sold hundreds of thousands of records through radio airplay but still are best known for an intense live show that rocks like no tomorrow.
