From 415 ILCS 150/5, the General Assembly finds, “many electronic products contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and other materials that pose environmental and health risks that must be managed.” Also, “the reuse of these materials also reduces water pollution and the air pollution associated with greenhouse gas emissions.”
