Join the Illinois State Museum’s curator of history, Erika Holst, online as she takes you on a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the “Fashioning Illinois: 1820-1900” exhibition. The exhibition is comprised of the clothing that women produced, wore, cared for and disposed of, which helps to give us a glimpse into their lives. Participants will be able to join Holst in the museum vaults to see how these articles of clothing, many of which have never been exhibited, are cared for and stored. The program will include a preview of the exhibit gallery as Holst shares insights on how the exhibition was created. This program is free, although donations are always appreciated. Advanced registration is required and the number of participants is limited. The event is a part of the museum’s Tales from the Vault series.
