This July, take in one of Broadway’s hottest musical comedies. The Legacy Theatre is proud to present Sister Act: The Musical, based off the 1992 cult film favorite starring Whoopi Goldberg. Sister Act: The Musical is the Broadway iteration on the story of Deloris Van Cartier, who, after witnessing a crime, is disguised by the police as a nun and hidden in a convent for her protection. The Legacy is one of the first regional theaters to bring the show to stage, and director Greg Donathan, choreographer Taryn Grant, vocal director Elizabeth Donathan and musical director Matthew Mason are having a blast doing so. The performance features an electrifying score rooted in disco-era Motown by Tony, Grammy and Academy Award winner Alan Menken, accompanied by a full orchestra. Adult admission is $25 in advance and is $30 the day of the show. Admission for seniors and children is $22 for Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday performances when purchased in advance.
