From Dec. 1 through 18, community members of all ages and abilities have the opportunity to put their art on display during the A Community Sketchbook exhibition in the Lincoln Land Community College James S. Murray Gallery. Sketches, poetry, prose and other works of visual art are welcome contributions. The gallery has only two requests: one, that all artists consider the audience when presenting their work, and two, that no framed or matted pieces be displayed. Pins will be provided by the gallery so that artists may affix their work to the walls. Only those pins provided by the gallery will be permitted. Each piece can stay up for as long as the creator would like, but any work left past 4 p.m. on Dec. 18 will become the property of the gallery. The goal of this interactive exhibition is to create a temporary mural that is a true product of our community. This exhibit is free and open to the public.
