I just bought the Obeck farm next door,
60 acres with a fair house with new roofÂ
and furnace and a decent barn. It cost 450 Â
an acre. This seems an awful price when
you compare the 92 per acre we paid for Â
our farm and 90 dollars Gramp paid for
the home farm or the 60 dollars paid for Â
The Hill Farm in 1929. On the other hand, Â
it’s right in the center of what we own and Â
can be worked with men and machinery
we now have. I got a loan from the bank Â
with no money down. That amazes me.Â
I must have a good reputation!
