On Saturday, Oct. 14, from 8-11 p.m., join Chef Michael Higgins and the Springfield Bicycle Club for a Moonlight Bike Ramble. The ramble will begin in the parking lot behind Boone’s Saloon, and takes participants on an 11-mile bicycle ride consisting of two loops. Prizes from downtown restaurants will be available to riders, with a specific prize available for the “most tricked-out” bike. To participate in Chef Higgins’ 5th Annual Moonlight Ramble, riders must have front and back lights on their bicycles. Helmets and additional lights are strongly encouraged. The first 25 riders will receive a flashing tail light courtesy of the Springfield Bicycle Club. The ride is free and open to all, but sign-in is required. Children will be permitted to participate when accompanied by a parent or guardian. For more information about the Moonlight Ramble, call 836-9821, or search “5th Annual Moonlight Ramble” on Facebook.
